Welcome to the Organisational Change course at New World University.
Organisational change goes beyond the study of organisational behaviour, which seeks merely to describe and to understand, and is focused on the difficult but rewarding task of actually making positive changes to an organisation, its culture, and how the people who comprise it relate to each other. This requires working within an organisation’s capacity for change, which is its overall capability that enables it to upgrade or revise existing organizational competencies while cultivating new competencies that enable the organization to survive and prosper.
This course relies with our gratitude on the first revision of the first edition of Focusing on Organizational Change by William Q. Judge of Old Dominion University; and as such its long form readings are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 License.
